SATF DONATES OFFICE EQUIPMENTS TO MSIMBAZI SECONDARY SCHOOL, DAR ES SALAAM

Msimbazi Secondary School submitted request to SATF for supporting its office infrastructure needs, these include office equipments and office furniture. This school, was established in 2007, its located in Msimbazi Suburb, within Ilala Ward and Ilala District (Dar es Salaam Region). Given its location, the school serves students from Buguruni, Msimbazi Valley, Ilala, Vingunguti and Kariakoo areas. It is not surprising to note the statistics that, the school has 1,768 students- quite a population for a Ward Secondary School.

Given the state of the school, on 11th April 2018, The Trust approved the request and donated used a Photocopier machine, Steel cabinet, a set of Desktop computer and Executive Office chair for Head Teacher’s office.

We believe that these will foster efficiency in various areas such as production of examinations papers on time and in legible manner, securing sensitive office/students reports as well as production of school reports. Mr. Adelardus Mumwi, the school Headmaster expressed his heartfelt appreciation to SATF for the timely and relevant donation that will boost Teachers’ delivery mode and also save money that was spent in outsourced secretarial works outside the school. In his own words, Mr. Mumwi says; “…the donated office equipment makes a difference to the teachers and students, the heavy-duty photocopier will easy our work and address our long-exiting shortages in printing facility. We will no longer take ages to print students` exam papers”.

He appealed to other prospective philanthropist to emulate SATF`s example and consider assisting the Ward schools which face similar challenges.
